Welcome to Museums on the Back Roads blog.
As a high school student I struggled to love history. It was soooo boring. Long, photocopied text with words that ran together DID NOT inspire me that this was something I should care about. That coupled with the fact that, as an advanced student, I was 'priviledged' to learn about European History rather than the history of the country I lived in.
Moving on to college, as the years flew by and began to slowly but surely delve into history on my own free time I found out how truly fascinating it could be! Oh the wasted years and we don't want the same to happen to your children and students.
At Museums on the Back Road our goal is to help you pass on the great history to be found in those tiny museums right in your own back yard and to open a world of wonder to the children in your care.
We publish curriculum works and also products for teachers to use in their own works.
